The Birkbeck, University of London offers a Geographic Information Science (GISc) by Distance Learning (MSc) for those having some practical knowledge of one or more GI technologies, and who need a deeper understanding of spatial theory, a wider technological knowledge, new perspectives on the social and political context of spatial data and insights into the process of organisational/ societal decision-making with spatial data.
